Bridge 61 Foxton Locks

As promised, the featured image of Bridge 61 at Foxton Locks. Trip boat Vagabond moors below the locks at bridge 61 outside the shop. The Foxton Locks Inn left of picture looks a welcoming sight for the weary tourists and boaters.

Narrowboat Classix Featured

My most recent image on site here – Narrowboat Classix – Foxton, has been given a featured spot with the Victorian Viewfinders group at redbubble. I have also had the fortune for another image, captured on the very same day to have been given featured image status with the Stream Crossings group.

These images which were captured on Wednesday of last week are two of a total of three images which I deemed of decent enough quality and interest out of some 50 odd images taken on the day. The other featured image is a study of Bridge 61 with the trip boat Vagabond. I shall endeavour to post the image here later today.

This image is named ‘Narrowboat Yorkshire Venture’ because it was the only boat name which was visible amongst this little group of five narrowboats which were moored along the Ashby Canal.

Stop press news. I am pleased to announce, and totally surprised that both myself and my image of bridge 2 on the Ashby Canal have been featured by the ‘Stream Crossings’ group at redbubble.com. Just to clarrify, my screen name at redbubble is ‘SimplyScene’, you’ll find images other than narrowboats and canals on site also.
