A summers dream by Lyn Evans

Monday, January 11th, 2010

“This pretty bridge is along the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal in South Wales UK. I went walking along there one Summers day a few months ago. I was actually looking for ducks to photograph. As I turned a bend in the canal, there before my eyes was this beautiful small stone bridge. It looked like something out of a fairy tale. It was nestled among the trees in the soft sunlight and reflecting its beauty in the water below. I sat on a bench for a while just looking at it and snapping a few pics, forgetting all about the ducks I originally went in search of. I must go back there when it snows so I can see it in all its winter glory.”

“Wow! This is just beautiful, Lyn! It could be a painting by Monet!! Wonderful magical feel to it and such awesome colours and reflections.”

“It is so great to see you up and around, Lyn! And this bridge seems to come out of a fable! So beautiful that it seems surreal! Dumbfounding, exquisite, ethereal!”

Norton Junction – The Cottage

Another image of one of my favourite locations. The cottage at Norton Junction. This time pictured in the late autumn with the sunshine low in the sky giving a golden glow to the remaining leaves on the tree branches. Narrowboats are moored at the canal side.
