As promised, the featured image of Bridge 61 at Foxton Locks. Trip boat Vagabond moors below the locks at bridge 61 outside the shop. The Foxton Locks Inn left of picture looks a welcoming sight for the weary tourists and boaters.

Cottage At Norton Junction

This weekend just past was glorious sunshine with clear blue skys. I took the opportunity to walk along the Buckby flight up as far as Norton Junction to capture again this lovely little cottage which sits next to the bridge. I was fortunate enough to arrive just as a narrowboat passed gently under the bridge.

The Fisherman

The fisherman is an image taken near bridge 21 on the Ashby Canal. The fisherman is busily casting his line into the canal during some early spring sunshine.

A couple of gongoozlers lean over the bridge taking in a peaceful canal scene. This location is bridge 22 on the Ashby Canal. Narrowboats are moored up along the canal towpath.

We progress along the Ashby Canal. This time we reach as far as bridge 41. The sunshine breaks through the clouds casting its light on the waters surface and narrowboats which follow on behind.

Another Ashby Canal bridge today. One more tomorrow and I’ll move on to some other topic. This image is of bridge 38. I have tried giving a different composition to this image by cutting the bridge in half to give the ‘quarter’ effect.
