Narrowboat Albert

Narrowboat Albert spotted whilst walking along the towpath. Location near Bugbrooke on the Grand Union Canal. This section of towpath must be one of the worst I have come across for dog poop. It was a case of eyes down and look out, else that nasty squidgy sensation be felt underfoot.

Andrew Denny highlights another poop problem on his Granny Buttons blog.

Albert sports its own blog here.

Maintaining The Canal

Work in progress, the canals need regular maintenance during the ‘off season’ to ensure smooth operation during the summer season. The canal has been drained on the Buckby flight to allow access to maintain and repair the locks. This particular section of canal is where I managed to get a couple of images of Halfie and Lazy Days last year. Images here.
